At Taier Al Monal, opposite Nesto Hypermarket in Abu Shagara, Sharjah, children under 5 eat free at both dinner buffets and children aged 5 to 10 pay half: AED 22 on weeknights and AED 33 at the weekend. The weekend buffet has a kids' corner with chicken strips, nuggets and fries, high chairs are available, and the menu has plenty of mild dishes, so a family dinner with young children is simple.
What do children eat at a Pakistani restaurant?
- Kids' corner at the weekend buffet: chicken strips, chicken nuggets and French fries
- Weekday buffet starters: fried chicken wings, French fries and shami kabab
- Mild mains: white chicken karahi, white handi, butter chicken handi
- Soft BBQ: malai boti and reshmi kabab, creamy and not hot
- À la carte favourites: fries AED 10, chicken wings AED 19, finger fish AED 19
- Desserts: kulfi AED 8, gulab jamun AED 10, falooda AED 12, and the buffet dessert tables
If spice is the worry, our guide is Pakistani food spicy? lists the mild dishes, and the staff can point you to them.
What a family dinner with kids costs
- Two adults, two children aged 5 to 10, weekday buffet: AED 128
- Same family at the weekend buffet: AED 196
- Add a child under 5: free on both buffets
- Water and soft drinks are included on both dinner buffets
The buffet page has both menus. Our kids eat free guide explains the age rules.
Making it easy for parents
- High chairs, and tables joined for bigger family groups on a few days' notice
- A buffet, so children eat straight away instead of waiting for dishes
- A live tandoor counter that children enjoy watching
- Parking opposite at Nesto Hypermarket
- Open until midnight, so there is no rush
Children's birthday parties
For a birthday, add wall decor (AED 200), a cake (from AED 150) and flowers (AED 100) to the buffet. Because the weekend buffet has a child rate and the weekday buffet is cheaper for adults, the best night depends on the mix of children and adults; our kids birthday party guide works it out, and packages are on birthday packages.
