Catering for 100 guests in Sharjah at Taier Al Monal costs AED 4,500 on the vegetarian package, AED 6,500 on the Classic, AED 8,500 on the Zouq, or AED 11,000 on the Premium, which includes a whole mutton dam pukht ouzi served on rice. All four clear the AED 3,000 minimum order comfortably.
A hundred covers is the size where people stop guessing and start needing a number. Here is each package at that headcount, with what the extras add on top.
The four packages at 100 guests
- Vegetarian, AED 45 per person: AED 4,500
- Classic, AED 65 per person: AED 6,500
- Zouq, AED 85 per person: AED 8,500
- Premium, AED 110 per person: AED 11,000
Each covers salads and sauces, a soup, your chosen main courses, a grill or BBQ selection, bread, dessert, and water with soft drinks. The Premium also brings the whole mutton ouzi at no extra charge, which for a hundred-guest function is usually the centrepiece people remember.
What the extras add at this size
Live counters and setup are priced per person, so at a hundred guests they scale into real money and should go into the budget from the start rather than at the end.
- Live BBQ counter: AED 10 per person, so AED 1,000 at a hundred
- Live tandoor: AED 10 per person, AED 1,000
- Live jalebi: AED 10 per person, AED 1,000
- Live puri: AED 15 per person, AED 1,500
- Table and chair setup: AED 15 per person, AED 1,500
A common shape for a wedding or a large family function is the Classic package with a live BBQ counter and table setup: AED 6,500 plus AED 1,000 plus AED 1,500, which comes to AED 9,000, or AED 90 a head all in.
What you pay, and when
A 50 percent deposit is due when you book, with the balance three days before the event. On that AED 9,000 example, AED 4,500 goes down at booking and AED 4,500 three days before.
One term worth reading carefully at this size: the bill is not reduced if fewer guests attend than the number you booked. If more attend, it is adjusted upward. For a hundred-guest event with uncertain attendance, book the number you are confident of and let the extras be added rather than booking optimistically.
Changing the numbers
Any alteration has to reach us three days before the event, which is the same deadline as the final payment. In practice that means your guest count needs to be settled by the start of that week.
What a hundred guests eat
The main course selection runs to biryani and pulao, karahi, handi and qorma, with a grill of seekh kebab, malai boti and tandoori boti alongside. Every package includes bread and a dessert selection, and the larger ones add a Chinese course.
All of it is halal, and all of it comes from the same kitchen in Bu Shaghara that runs the restaurant buffet nightly, rather than a separate event operation.
