Pakistani Restaurant Near Al Qusais and Al Nahda, Dubai: The Case for Crossing Into Sharjah

Al Qusais, Al Nahda Dubai, Muhaisnah and Al Twar sit right on the Sharjah border. Abu Shagara is on the other side, with a Pakistani buffet from AED 42 and a menu open until midnight.

If you live in Al Qusais, Al Nahda Dubai, Muhaisnah or Al Twar, the nearest serious Pakistani kitchen may be in Sharjah rather than Dubai. Taier Al Monal is in Abu Shagara, opposite Nesto Hypermarket, a short drive across the border outside rush hour. The dinner buffet is AED 42, beef nihari AED 20, and the kitchen runs from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM every day.

Why Dubai border residents eat in Sharjah

Two reasons: price and density. Restaurant rent in Sharjah is lower, and it shows on the bill. And central Sharjah carries one of the densest clusters of long-standing Pakistani restaurants in the UAE, which supports dishes that rarely appear on a mixed menu: charsi and shinwari karahi, nihari, chargha and a working tandoor. Our Dubai vs Sharjah comparison sets out the price gap dish by dish.

What a dinner costs

  • Dinner buffet, Monday to Friday: AED 42 adults, AED 22 children
  • Weekend buffet, Saturday and Sunday: AED 65 adults, AED 33 children
  • Sunday brunch with halwa puri: AED 49 adults, AED 24 children
  • Beef nihari AED 20, chicken biryani AED 15, mutton biryani AED 20
  • Chicken karahi AED 29 half, AED 48 full

On the buffet, under-5s eat free and children aged 5 to 10 pay the child rate. For a family of four, the weeknight buffet comes to AED 128. The full à la carte list is on the menu.

When to drive over

The Dubai to Sharjah roads are at their worst in the evening rush, so aim to cross after 8:00 PM on a weeknight, or come on a weekend. A Friday dinner is priced at the weekday rate, and the Sunday brunch from 11:00 AM is an easy late-morning trip. Because the kitchen runs until midnight, a late dinner after the traffic clears works too.

Catering into Dubai offices and homes

If the drive is the problem, the food can come to you. We cater into Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman with our own staff and setup, from AED 45 per head with a minimum of AED 3,000. Offices in Al Qusais Industrial Area and Muhaisnah are close enough that a team lunch arrives hot. See corporate catering for the menus.
